Statistics: Russia’s inflation slows down to 0.05% Jun 6–Tue
MOSCOW, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation decelerated to 0.05% from June 6 through Tuesday from 0.21% a week earlier, and reached 2.58% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Thursday.
The fruit and vegetables prices decreased by 1.3% on average. Tomatoes became 8.1% cheaper, bananas 7.1%, cabbage 5.4%, onions 2.2%. At the same time, prices for carrots rose by 6.5%, potatoes by 5.7%, beets by 4.3%, apples 1.8% and cucumbers 0.9%.
Egg and buckwheat prices decreased by 0.8% on average, sunflower seed oil ones 0.7%. Chicken meat prices rose 1.77%, sugar 1.06%, pork and sausages 0.5%.
Retail prices for gasoline grew by 0.3%, and diesel fuel prices remained unchanged.
